A Note from our Founder
Back in 1996 God called me to Haiti. At that time I knew little to nothing about the country, but I was compelled to step out in faith. Over the course of four months I raised two year’s salary through donations, resigned from my stable job and committed my life to working for a country that I had never even stepped foot in.
Over the past two decades as I have gotten married, had a family and worked for various international organizations, my passion for the people and country of Haiti has only deepened. God continues to call me to Haiti and founding PEARLS was simply the next step of obedience to the savior I love and follow, Jesus Christ.
It is my hope that through interactions with me, our volunteers and this organization as a whole, that the people we serve and who partner with PEARLS in Haiti will grow in their understanding of who Jesus is and who they are in Him! The most valuable thing in life is for a person to know their creator and Savior; it is only through that relationship they will realize they are a loved child of God and will be forever changed.
